Meet Your Chiropractors

Dr. Daria Messina

A 1987 graduate of Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic, Dr. Messina was the recipient of the B.J. Palmer Clinical Excellence Award. In 1990, she was honored as the Sherman College Chiropractic Career Advisor of the Year (along with Dr. Sasso) for her efforts in establishing a pre-chiropractic curriculum at Ocean County College, Toms River, NJ. She is a member of the Garden State Chiropractic Society (GSCS), a state organization in New Jersey. Since 1991, she has been serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the GSCS and was elected vice-president in June 1996.She was then elected president in June 1998 and again in June 2002. Dr. Messina is the first woman to serve as president of the GSCS since its inception.

Dr. Joe Sasso

Dr. Sasso is a 1983 magna-cum-laude graduate of Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic and a member of the Garden State Chiropractic Society. He has served the GSCS as treasurer of both the general organization, its affiliated political action committee and as vice-president. In1988 and 1990, he was honored as GSCS’ “Board Member of the Year” and also received a GSCS“Distinguished Service Award” in 1989. He shared a 1990 Sherman College “Career Advisor of the Year” award with Dr. Messina and was honored as GSCS “Chiropractor of the Year” in 1992. In 1992, he was also honored as a “Distinguished Alumnus” of Sherman College.
